Hip & Groin Pain
Do you have pain around the outside and back of your hip, or in your groin?
Does it hurt when you run, or sit in a low chair?
Common causes of hip & groin pain:
Hip joint issues: FAI, dysplasia, or osteoarthritis
Muscle tears
Greater trochanter pain syndrome (including gluteal tendinopathy and trochanteric bursitis)
Stress fractures
Lumbar spine referral
What you can do:
Hip pain can be caused by many different issues, each requiring a different treatment approach.
Reduce high impact activity, like running and jumping
Keep moving in ways that aren’t painful; possibly swimming or walking.
Book in for a physiotherapy assessment to identify the source of your hip pain.
What we can do for you:
Assess your pain or injury to understand what you should do and what you shouldn’t do.
Organise scans or referrals if needed.
Release the muscles around your hip to provide more mobility and less pain.
Provide a specific exercise program to get your hip joint and muscles strong.
